Description
In 1970s Italy, many everyday objects adopted a formal rigor inherited from modernism, while also incorporating noble and durable materials. This large box is a perfect example, designed to last and age gracefully.
Made in Italy around the 1970s, it combines a patinated metal structure, a brass frame, and a fully wooden interior. The craftsmanship is meticulous, with clean joinery, a sturdy hinge, and a perfect balance between functionality and decorative appeal. The brass, cleaned with Miror polish, retains a beautiful shine that contrasts with the understated elegance of the metal.
The condition is very good. The metal has a pronounced patina, with marks and stains consistent with its age. A few surface scratches are visible. The interior wood has been restored, treated, and protected, and is ready for use.
It measures approximately 25 cm in length, 15 cm in width and 4 cm in height.
Ideal for holding documents, jewelry, office accessories, or precious objects, on a desk, console table, or in a bookcase. A piece with character, discreet and perfectly balanced.
