Description
In 1960s Italy, the use of precious veneers experienced a resurgence of interest. Workshops highlighted woods such as burr elm, chosen for their natural patterns and visual depth.
This large box, from an unidentified maker, is crafted from light brown elm wood with a carefully selected burr veneer. The flush-fitting lid and gently softened edges bear witness to precise craftsmanship. The interior is made of light wood, designed for functional and durable use. Continuous hinge at the back.
The item is in very good condition. Some slight signs of use and micro-scratches, normal for a piece of this age. The varnish displays a beautiful, consistent patina, with no major alterations.
It measures 6.5 cm in height, 23.5 cm in width, and 22 cm in depth. A generous size, suitable for daily use.
To be used as a document box, an accessories case, or a display item on a desk or sideboard.
