Description
Large Murano vase, attributed to Flavio Poli from the 1960s.
Excellent Sommerso workmanship, in which several layers of colour are melted on top of each other, creating a special play of colours.
Here, clear glass encloses a thin layer of amber-coloured glass and ends with a layer of cobalt blue on the inside. To better showcase the effect of this layering technique, the vase has been prismatically cut, allowing for a wonderful play of colours.
It is quite large and heavy: 32 cm high, 12.5 cm in diameter.
