Description
This Italian vase from the 1980s is distinguished by its particularly expressive surface treatment, characteristic of a period when ceramics became a true field of artistic experimentation. The slender form is enlivened by a spiral motif evoking a draped textile, as if frozen within the material itself.
Made of glazed ceramic with a metallic finish, it subtly captures the light, revealing its contours and curves throughout the day. The decoration is not applied but integrated into the very form of the vase, giving an impression of continuous movement. The overall effect is one of understated elegance despite its strong sculptural character. The state of preservation is very good. The enamel shows a beautiful homogeneity with slight marks of time, discreet and consistent with the age of the piece, without chips or cracks.
