Description
In the early 1960s, Italian workshops produced numerous decorative brass pieces, blending simple lines with delicate engraved motifs. This pedestal bowl is a good example, showcasing the turning and stamping techniques characteristic of the period.
It is made of brass, a material prized for its visual warmth and its ability to develop a natural patina over time. No designer is identified, which is common for these objects produced in regional workshops specializing in metalwork.
The condition is very good, with a beautiful, even patina that highlights the surface and engraved details. The bowl measures 23 cm high by 20.5 cm wide.
Lightweight and versatile, it works equally well as a catchall or a fruit bowl. Ideal on a console table or coffee table, it adds a subtle touch of 1960s Italian design.
