Description
In the 1970s, several Italian workshops explored combinations of synthetic materials to create precisely designed utilitarian pieces. This box is a fine example, with its use of transparent volumes and the warm hues typical of Bakelite.
The lid, made of thick plexiglass, contrasts with the brown Bakelite body, whose slightly mottled hue is characteristic of pieces from this period. The carefully molded, rounded corners soften the lines and demonstrate a real attention to detail. Anonymous Italian production, 1970s.
The set is in very good condition, with a clean interior surface and a discreet patina from use, consistent with its age.
It measures 6 cm in height, 11 cm in width and 20 cm in length.
Ideal for a console, desk or shelf, it brings a discreet touch of Italian design and provides elegant storage for jewelry, keys or small everyday items.
