Description
A wonderful object from circa mid 20th century by an anonymous Scandinavian sculptor cut in solid, heavy stone weighing nearly 6 kg. It depicts two male wrestlers in classical Greco-Roman style. The word « brottare » (Swedish for « wrestlers ») is carved in the upper left corner. It’s in beautiful condition considering its age, without any damage. The piece is newly fitted in a custom-made cassette frame from black stained wood with a sturdy hook to hang on a wall, or can be displayed standing as well. 26.5 x 29 x 5 cm / 10.43 x 11.41 x 2 inches
