Description
The Selene range by Matlight Milano is the result of our project of combining light with a particular apotropaic stone – Selenite: a mineral chalk whose surface presents defined and irregular striations along the length of the crystal. The light that passes through this material highlights the surface cutting irregularities and, in line with its polarity, ex- its from the opposite end with a minimal reduction in power.
The main feature of the Selene wall light is its cylindrical diffuser with rounded ends, handcrafted from a rough block of sele- nite and illuminated at one end. The shape is completed by a bronze support that recalls the shape of the diffuser.
Designed, finished and assembled by hand in Milan.
