This piece explores materiality, texture, and transparency.
Banana fibre, used in the weft of this piece, is usually considered a waste product, and is left to degrade once the fruit has been harvested, so it is exciting to find another use for it. It is all hand dyed in the studio.
Installation : This piece has screw brackets installed on the timber beam the work is hung from, which can sit over screws in the wall.
Care : This piece is able to be ironed/steamed.
