Description
A playful folding chair/side side table with a subtle nod to Louis XV with it’s cabriole legs cast in aluminium. Designed in 1984 by the French Designer Philippe Starck (born 1949) for the Italian manufacturer Driade. Statement aluminium legs and contrasting pink rubber seat buttons, this is a rare, collectable and adaptable piece of design. Italian, 1980s, Black lacquered ash wood, cast aluminium, black chromium-plated steel hinges, and coloured rubber studs. Represented copies at Centre Pompidou, inventory number AM 1999-1-152, Paris and Moma, NY.
