Description

In the early 1950s, molded plywood became a major testing ground for American design. The “LCM” model is one of its most accomplished expressions. Designed by the duo Charles Eames and Ray Eames Designed and produced by Herman Miller in the 1960s, this low armchair combines a hot-molded black ash shell with a chromed tubular steel base. The seat and backrest are secured with rubber pads, providing flexibility and comfort.

The design remains clean and functional, without any decorative embellishments. The shells show a patina consistent with their age. There are a few light marks on the edges. The chromed structure is in good condition, stable and sound. Each chair measures 66 cm high, 55 cm wide and 61 cm deep. Compact proportions, suitable for a living room, office or reception area. A classic of 20th-century design, relevant in an international collection or a masterful modernist interior.
