Description
Created in modernist Italy during the 1960s, this vase reflects a renewed interest in traditional glassmaking techniques, reinterpreted with a freer and more experimental vocabulary. The so-called « peacock feather » motif, characteristic of certain Muranas productions of this period, combines transparency, bubble inclusions, and swirls of color to achieve a dense yet perfectly controlled visual presence.
Made of Murano glass, blown with a blowpipe. Anonymous work, likely from a workshop specializing in small decorative series for contemporary Italian interiors. The colored vortex and regular micro-bubbles illustrate a precise technique and careful control of the material.
Perfect condition. No chips, no noticeable scratches. The glass retains all its clarity and nuances.
Dimensions: height 31.5 cm; width 11 cm; length 13.5 cm. Balanced volume, ideal for a unique piece.
Display it on a sideboard or console table, either alone or alongside other modernist glassware. It integrates seamlessly into a post-war Italian design collection or a minimalist contemporary interior.
