Description
This large Murano glass vase belongs to that Italian production of the 1980s where the material becomes almost immaterial. Its opalescent decoration, traversed by light milky swirls, plays with the light and gives the glass a soft, almost spectral presence.
Blown using traditional Muranaian techniques, it is distinguished by its architecturally structured, tiered form, typical of this decade, blending geometric rigor and organic fluidity. The thick, perfectly crafted glass testifies to a know-how still deeply rooted in the island’s craftsmanship.
The condition is very good, with slight signs of age, but no chips or cracks. The surface retains a beautiful shine and the opalescent hues are displayed evenly.
With its slender silhouette reaching approximately 35 cm in height and approximately 18 cm in width , this vase imposes a strong sculptural presence, both alone and in a larger composition.
A simple and sophisticated decorative piece, ideal on a pedestal, a console or as an accent in a contemporary or modernist interior.
