Unique wall hanging featuring a grid of geometric motifs in warm earthy tones of ochre, rust, and brown, handwoven in linen and wool. The piece bears a label reading “Gift from the Parish Hall’s Working Committee 1988” (GÅVA AV FÖRSAMLINGSGÅRDENS ARBETSKRETS 1988). Parish craft circles (“arbetskrets”) were community groups, often connected to local churches, where women gathered to weave, knit, and sew items for charity and church use — preserving regional textile traditions through collective craftsmanship. A beautiful example of Scandinavian design.
