Description
In the early 1970s, several Italian workshops experimented with freer forms in metalwork, seeking to move away from the strict silhouettes of previous decades. This “Wave” candlestick is part of this formal exploration, with a continuous line that unfolds in a controlled movement. Made of shaped and polished metal, it embodies the sculptural aesthetic characteristic of Italian artisanal productions of the period. The precise and stable upper cone contrasts with the curved base, which gives the piece its dynamism. The condition is very good. The surface shows some discreet, even signs of age, confirming its origin and moderate use.
