Description
In the 1980s, Italian design explored more organic forms, often made of cast aluminum, with contrasting finishes between raw metal and enameled surfaces. Italian vase, 1980s work, unattributed. The body is made of aluminum, likely cast and then polished, forming a hollowed oval shape. The interior is finished in glossy black enamel, creating a striking contrast with the satin exterior. The subtly off-center opening enhances the piece’s sculptural quality.
Good overall condition. Minor signs of wear and micro-scratches on the aluminum, consistent with its age. The interior enamel is well preserved, with a beautiful shine. Vertical format, approximately 27.5 cm high, 19.5 cm wide and 6 cm deep. Can be used as a vase or as a decorative object on its own, placed on a console or shelf.
