Description
In the 1960s, travertine became a staple in Italian interiors, driven by a minimalist and architectural aesthetic. Used raw or lightly polished, it highlighted the material and its natural irregularities.
This box, from an unidentified publisher, is entirely made of light travertine. The lid is accentuated by a decorative metal mount, with a hinge integrated at the back. The whole combines rigorous lines with the richness of the stone, characterized by its natural pores and nuances.
The condition is very good. There are slight surface variations and small asperities inherent to travertine, as well as discreet signs of use. The structure is sound, the closure works perfectly.
It measures 5 cm in height, 13.5 cm in length, and 9.5 cm in width. A compact size, easy to integrate.
To be used as a trinket dish, jewelry box, or desk object. Works well alone or paired with other mineral pieces.
