Description
In 1970s Italy, domestic design explored structured forms and material contrasts, combining worked metal with natural elements. This square catchall reflects that approach. Italian production, unassigned, it combines a gilded metal structure with a light wood base. The metal work, finely ridged and tiered, forms a graphic base, while the upper section features a polished metal bowl set into a clean-lined square top.
The piece shows careful craftsmanship, typical of Italian decorative production from the period. In very good overall condition. Light, consistent patina from use. A small indentation is visible underneath (see photo), minor and without impact on stability or function.
