Description
In the 1970s, Italian design embraced material contrasts and surface effects, balancing industrial production with decorative intent. This square catchall reflects that approach through a graphic composition beneath glass.
Unattributed Italian work, circa 1970. Metal structure with an aluminum frame, glass top revealing a base combining brushed aluminum and wood-effect panels, with tones reminiscent of burl wood and petrol-like patina. Assembly with visible screws on the underside, typical of the period. Very good overall condition. Light wear to the metal and minor surface scratches on the glass.
