Description
In the early 1970s, many Italian workshops experimented with combining industrial materials and transparent elements. This piece is a faithful expression of this, playing on the contrast between brushed metal and plexiglass.
Likely produced in a small series, it reflects the work of anonymous designers active in Florence during this period, who were sensitive to simple volumes and precise assembly. The structure alternates a metal block and a segment of clear plexiglass, fixed using an interlocking technique common in Italian design of the 1970s. The condition is good. The metal has a regular and even patina from age. The plexiglass is in perfect condition, without any noticeable scratches. The whole piece maintains a pleasing visual harmony.
