Description
This Italian Murano glass ashtray, made in the 1980s, exemplifies the characteristic aesthetic of that period, where transparency, chromatic depth, and technical mastery intertwine. Its rounded shape and intense blue, enlivened by a pattern of bubbles trapped within the glass, give it a visual presence that is both graphic and refined. Made using the bullicante technique, it features a regular succession of small bubbles incorporated during the blowing process, an emblematic signature of many Murano workshops. The thick, perfectly polished glass offers a subtle interplay of light between the transparent layers and the concentrated color at the center. The copy is in perfect condition, without chips or scratches, and comes from a Milanese collection where it has been carefully preserved.
