Description
In the 1970s, Italian design explored bold geometric forms and plays on transparency. This vase is a good example, with its stepped construction and narrow, tinted neck.
Italian production from the 1970s, unattributed. Thick molded glass, worked in concentric layers. Smoked glass upper section, held in place by a screwed brass band. The whole rests on a stable base, with a beautiful sense of mass and balance.
Good overall condition. Visible signs of wear on the brass (light oxidation, micro-scratches) and a few marks in the glass, consistent with age. Nothing structural, otherwise in good overall appearance.
It measures 22 cm in height by 22 cm in width, a balanced format that allows it to easily fit on different surfaces.
A strong decorative piece, ideal on a console, coffee table or as a centerpiece, alone or with a simple bouquet.
