Description
During the 1970s, several Italian glassworks developed pieces with irregular chromatic effects, often called « gasoline » for their shifting hues. This ashtray is a typical example, blending dark transparencies and tinted reflections. Made of thick blown glass , it has a free-form, slightly twisted shape that accentuates the color variations. The transitions between green, amber, and pink are characteristic of these experimental productions from the decade. The condition is very good. The glass retains its brilliance and depth, without any chips. There are a few minor signs of wear, consistent with its age.
