Description
In the 1960s, Italian workshops like Sicart developed ceramics with soft, compact forms, designed to complement modernist interiors. This trinket tray is a good example, with a rounded silhouette crafted from a highly glossy brown ceramic. The central hollow is precisely crafted, highlighting the attention to continuous lines, characteristic of Sicart’s production. The condition is perfect, without chips or scratches, which is remarkable for a piece from this period. It was acquired in Turin, from a private collection, confirming its Italian provenance. Placed on a coffee table, desk or shelf, it works equally well as a catch-all or as a small design object, adding a discreet and graphic touch.
