Description
Acquired in Milan in 1969 to celebrate a birth, this brass horse sculpture is part of the Italian decorative production of the late 1960s, marked by clean forms and a particular attention to volumes.
Made of solid brass, it testifies to a craftsmanship still very much alive in Lombard workshops of the time. The work on the curves and the balance is characteristic of these anonymous editions that circulated in Milanese boutiques then seeking durable pieces.
The condition is good. The surface has a uniform, stable, and attractive patina, a normal result of its age. There are no structural defects, only slight signs of wear consistent with an original piece from the 1960s.
Dimensions: height 29.5 cm, width 7.5 cm, length 34 cm.
This sculpture naturally finds its place on a console, a desk or a bookcase, where it brings a discreet and controlled presence.
