Description
In the 1960s, Italy paid particular attention to everyday objects, crafting them as true pieces of furniture on a small scale. Precious woods and brass were often combined in understated and balanced compositions.
Italian box, produced in the 1960s.
Blossom elm veneer, brass mount. The lid is framed in metal, with integrated hinges and a solid wood interior. Exquisitely crafted, likely from a workshop specializing in office or living room accessories. Designer unknown.
The condition is very good. The wood has a beautiful warm patina, with slight signs of wear consistent with age. The brass shows gentle, even oxidation, without any deformation or missing pieces.
The box measures approximately 22 cm long, 13.5 cm wide, and 4 cm high. A discreet size, easy to place.
Ideal for a desk, coffee table, or shelf. It can hold papers, jewelry or small items, while adding an elegant and timeless touch to the whole.
