Description
In the 1970s and 1980s, Italian decorative objects often explored the contrast between clear acrylic, warm burl-effect finishes and polished metal details. This ashtray reflects that taste for architectural forms and refined materials. Italian work from the 1970s/80s, composed of a transparent acrylic base, a warm amber burl-effect top plate and a removable brass-toned metal bowl.
The faceted sides and small gold accents give the piece a precise, decorative presence while keeping a functional purpose. Very good vintage condition. Light signs of use are visible on the metal bowl and surface, consistent with age, without affecting the overall presentation.
