Description
In the 1970s, Italian design asserted an elegant and warm aesthetic, where natural materials met modern and structured lines. This smoker’s desk set perfectly illustrates this spirit, combining decorative refinement and functionality. Italian production, designer not attributed. The set consists of three matching elements: a rectangular box made of plexiglass and wood veneer, a square valet tray with a circular brass insert, and a lighter presented in its coordinated base.
The contrast between the transparency of the plexiglass, the rich grain of the wood, and the brilliance of the brass creates a particularly sophisticated play of materials, typical of 1970s Italian creations. The condition of preservation is excellent. The plexiglass is clear, with no notable cracks or chips, and very slight traces of use. The wood has a beautiful, well-preserved grain, without major alteration. The brass, for its part, offers a soft and uniform patina, without significant oxidation.
