Description
Highly decorative, one-of-a-kind hammered metal candlestick from communist-era Poland. Constructed from separately made components joined with three small bolts, which can be tightened to fix the form or loosened slightly to allow for subtle movement or reconfiguration. A brutalist, cubist interpretation of petal-like candle holders. The piece is heavy, with every surface enriched by hand-hammered detailing. There are no right angles, each corner and plane is distinct.
Some light scratches and rust spots to the metal consistent with age.
