Description
In the 1980s, Murano glassmakers boldly reinterpreted transparency, playing with the effects of materials and milky overlays. This vase, known as « Ghost, » is a perfect example. Mouth-blown in Murano, it is distinguished by its almost architectural flared silhouette and its opaline glass with delicately marbled internal swirls. The white and slightly celadon hues seem to float within the material, creating a subtle, ghostly effect—hence its name. Each piece reveals a unique design, the result of the master glassmaker’s skill.
In excellent condition. The glass has a beautiful shine, without any chips or noticeable damage. The slightly thickened base is evidence of careful craftsmanship. Its balanced proportions — 16.5 cm high by 16.5 cm wide — give it a sculptural presence despite its compact size. Ideal as a centerpiece, on a minimalist console table or as part of a collection of 20th century Italian glass.
