Description
In the 1980s, several European fashion houses developed lines of household objects, extending their stylistic language into the realm of lifestyle. These pieces, often made of polished metal, favored simple forms and meticulous industrial manufacturing. Circular valet tray produced by Pierre Cardin , Italy, 1980s. Made of stamped stainless steel, with a slight peripheral rim incorporating a characteristic flowing design and the engraved Pierre Cardin signature.
The low, flared shape evokes the designer’s formal explorations of clean, geometric volumes, very present in his object collections from this period. The condition is very good. The stainless steel retains a beautiful shine with a few micro-scratches from use visible in raking light, consistent with its age. No noticeable deformation or damage. The piece measures approximately 15.5 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm in height, a discreet size that fits easily on a surface. Ideal for an entryway console, desk, or bedside table. It holds keys, coins, or small everyday items while providing a subtle graphic presence.
