Description
Earthenware jug with partial glaze, folk art work from Southwestern France (probably Périgord), late 19th – early 20th century.
Elegant ovoid form with a narrow neck and pinched spout, fitted with a vertical handle. Brown-orange glaze covering the upper part and interior, with the lower section left unglazed and fire-darkened, characteristic of traditional culinary use.
Unsigned (inventory mark under the base).
Good overall condition, with minor chips to the base and one small chip to the rim, barely visible.
