Description
A cast pewter vase designed by Edvin Ollers for the Schreuder & Olsson foundry in Stockholm. Dating to 1950, authenticated by the Z8 year mark on the base. The fluted column and slender neck reflect the Art Deco-inspired elegance that defined Ollers’ work. Perfect as a single-stem flower holder or standalone decorative accent. The pewter has developed a lovely dark patina.
Ollers (1888–1959) was a multidisciplinary Swedish artist and designer who worked across glass, metal, ceramics, and painting. His designs, rooted in Scandinavian craft tradition, brought artistic sensitivity to functional objects meant for everyday use. His work is held in Sweden’s leading museums.
