Description
An exceptional chrome over brass box table lamp by the furniture and light designer, Philippe Barbier. A stacked box base with a fantastic orb centre-piece making this a statement piece. Barbier worked in Paris during the 1960s and 1970s designing and producing lighting for French film sets under the name ‘Maison Barbier’. He was known for his polished chrome over brass pieces in an array of sculptural shapes.
Updated with new electrics, twisted fabric cord, brass fittings for an E27 lightbulb and new EU plug and switch. Available with your choice of lampshade in either pale blue linen or off-white hemp handmade in Sweden with Italian fabrics from Astrid Textiles. French, Chrome, 1970s.
