Description
Incredibly rare table lamp by G. Åke of Göteborg, a masterful yet underrecognized Swedish metalsmith whose pieces seldom surface in today’s market. Created during the early 1930s, this lamp represents a fine example of Art Deco metalwork transitioning toward Modernism.
The design features a spherical copper base adorned with dramatic, patinated bronze drip elements. The metal surfaces display a beautiful patina with subtle verdigris accents. These organic, sculptural bronze drips were a bold artistic choice during an era when restraint and clean geometric elegance dominated Scandinavian design sensibilities.
