Incised and painted terracotta plaque depicting a stylised Greek figure, grappling a rearing white horse. A dynamic and unusually expressive composition, typical of Amsterdam School design in its dramatic lines and sculptural intensity.
Netherlands, c.1920–30. Later black-painted wooden frame. Surface wear and small areas of loss consistent with age.
