Description
In the 1960s, Angelo Mangiarotti collaborated with the manufacturer Brambilla on a series of utilitarian ceramic objects, conceived with the same formal rigor as his architectural pieces. This ashtray is a prime example: a clean, circular form, enhanced by a series of functional perforations that structure the object. Made of brown glazed ceramic , it consists of two elements: a circular base and a perforated lid, designed to hold and insulate the ashes while maintaining a compact silhouette. The work is typical of Mangiarotti: balance, simplicity, and efficient execution. The condition is very good. The enamel is homogeneous, without chips or cracks, and the surface has a light patina consistent with productions from the 1960s.
