Description
In the early 1970s, some Italian collectors became interested in the modularity of glass and explored geometric assemblages inspired by the architectural structures of the time. This candle holder, made in 1972, belongs to this formal research where each cube is welded by hand to create a sculptural construction.
Made of thick glass set in a metal frame, it demonstrates precise craftsmanship, playing on transparency, reflections, and the repetition of volumes. A unique piece, it is not linked to any identified manufacturer, which underscores its experimental nature.
The item is in very good condition, with some minor signs of age consistent with the materials and workmanship. It measures 24 cm in height and 23 cm in width.
A decorative piece as well as a holder for tea lights, it works ideally in the center of a table or on a console, where its geometric presence affirms an Italian design of the 70s.
