Description

In the early 1980s, Italian workshops experimented with new forms in cast aluminum, favoring open and sculptural volumes. This vase is a characteristic example of this, conceived more as a design piece than as a simple container.

Made of cast aluminum and then hand-polished, it has a fluid silhouette whose contours reflect the artisanal skill of the era. As is often the case with these small-workshop productions, the designer and manufacturer are not identified.

The condition is very good, with a light patina characteristic of the material. The vase measures approximately 36 cm in height, 26 cm in width, and 6 cm in depth.

A standalone object with a strong presence, it is ideally placed on a console or shelf to structure a space with a touch of 80s Italian design.

In the 1980s, Italian design moved away from strict forms to introduce more organic volumes, often made of cast metal. This vase is part of this formal exploration.

Italian production from the 80s, designer unidentified. Made of cast aluminum, then polished to obtain a smooth and slightly satin surface. The openwork form, with its central opening and elongated neck, evokes a sculptural work, characteristic of this period.

Good general condition. Some micro-scratches and slight traces of use visible on the surface, consistent with polished aluminum. The whole remains very presentable, with a beautiful homogeneity of finish.

It measures 34.5 cm in height, 24.5 cm in width and 7 cm in depth, proportions that allow it to exist alone without needing accumulation.

To be placed on a console, a shelf or as a centerpiece. Can hold a single stem or remain empty as a standalone decorative piece.
