Description
Designed in the early 1960s by Martin Visser and Dick van der Net for Spectrum , the SZ38/SZ08 armchair exemplifies the functional simplicity and formal precision of post-war Dutch design. Produced between 1960 and 1968, it remains one of the most sought-after models in the Spectrum collection.
The seat and backrest are upholstered in the original cream leather, supple and remarkably well preserved. The armrests, also leather-covered, underscore the precision of the design and the quality of the craftsmanship. The entire piece rests on a slender metal frame, characteristic of Visser’s work, where lightness and strength meet.
The example shown is in excellent original condition, with a discreet and even patina. The leather retains its color and luster, without any noticeable alteration.
Dimensions: height 71 cm, width 71 cm, depth 77 cm.
A rare piece, ideal for a minimalist interior, an architect’s office or a collection space dedicated to European design of the 1960s.
