Description
Iconic ‘Brumbry’ table lamp, designed by Luigi Massoni for Harvey Guzzini in 1969 – one of the most recognisable Italian space age lamps from the late 1960s.
The lamp has a chrome-plated and white lacquered metal base with a white acrylic (perspex) shade, finished with a chrome ring that makes the silhouette extra sleek and graphic.
Inside are four E14 fittings: one directly under the shade and three in the base. With the original black and white switch (typical of the early production years), you can switch the top lamp and the three side lamps separately or simultaneously.
This is an early version of the Brumbry, recognisable by the characteristic black and white switch that was only used in the first years of production.
Very good vintage condition – fully cleaned and chrome repolished, with minimal signs of wear appropriate for its age. Plastic hood and base are neat. Wiring to switch renewed; original wiring from switch to lamp base. Upper part may flicker when you touch the cord, but burns steadily during normal use.
